This role as a Group Compliance Manager, has its focus on Internal control and Information security, including GDPR. Scandi Standard and the industry predict a long-term underlying structural growth. The corporate governance is an important area for the continued successful journey of Scandi Standard. This is an exciting role for you who wants to get the opportunity to continue to develop and build the compliance, internal control and information security platform in a fast-moving/growing business.

The location for this position is primarily in HQ Stockholm, Sweden but can be flexible. It can also be in any of Scandi Standard’s markets, in any of the company’s local offices in Aars or Farre, Denmark; Oslo, Norway; Lieto, Finland, or Bracetown, Ireland. Some travel is expected.

What we are looking for

As Compliance Manager you will be responsible for building, implementing, maintaining and continuously developing the internal control framework for the group. You will also have the responsibility for information security including GDPR. You will cooperate closely with the Head of Group Finance and the country CFOs. Since this is a new position, we are looking for you who can contribute with your previous experience within the area and thus be the expert who offers advice and drive the development within the area. You will report to Head of Group Finance and be a part of the Group Finance organization.

To thrive in this role you enjoy being both tactical and hands-on, working with the planning, coordination, administration and setting the structure for the compliance area. You do also have a good understanding and experience of and can apply the change management needed, in order to implement and maintain the internal routines.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage internal control over financial reporting and issue governing documents for the Group and the Parent company.

  • Together with Head of Group Finance, prepare and manage the annual cycle for Internal control.

  • Prepare information material and conduct internal control training to the business.

  • Mapping of financial processes to identify risks to ensure risks have adequate controls to prevent unintentional and intentional errors in financial reporting processes.

  • Monitor that audit remarks are followed up on and actions are taken by the business.

  • Act as the company’s named Information Security manager and be responsible for data protection policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

  • Supervise and assist with the drafting, implementation and review of internal policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and related compliance training.

  • Provide day to day support to internal and external stakeholders on compliance issues.

Your profile

You have an academic education, preferably with university degree within business administration/finance or equivalent. You have 5-8 years´ of experience, it can be from a similar role or as an Auditor from preferably Big4. Important is that you have experience from processes regarding Internal control. You have experience from audits and line function within finance or experiences from internal control framework and COSOS framework. You enjoy working hands-on/operative and to handle administration and have a good understanding of processes and risk handling.

Personal skills

You are independent and self-driven with a high integrity. We would like you to be a good team worker and an experienced relationship builder with experience of working cross different functions. You do have analytical skills and a high level of attention to details with a very good ability to create and maintain structure and processes. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. We can see that you are used to leading through others as well as driving change management and to handle different kinds of discussions with different stakeholders. Experience from FMCG and listed companies is an advantage.
